Rock Canyon Goldens Therapy Dog Program

At Rock Canyon Goldens, we believe dogs have an incredible ability to bring comfort, connection, and hope to those who need it most. As the handler of certified therapy dogs, I've had the privilege of visiting schools, hospitals, counseling centers, residential treatment facilities, and community organizations, where I've watched my dogs bring moments of peace to thousands of people. Those experiences have shown me just how meaningful the bond between a dog and a person can be.

When I began building Rock Canyon Goldens, I knew I wanted our breeding program to stand for something greater than producing exceptional puppies. I wanted every litter to create a lasting impact in our community. That's why I created the Rock Canyon Therapy Dog Program.

For every litter we produce, Rock Canyon Goldens is committed to donating one carefully selected therapy dog prospect to an approved therapy dog handler or organization at no cost. Each recipient receives the same health testing, support, and guidance provided to every Rock Canyon puppy family, along with lifetime mentorship for therapy dog training, certification, and volunteer work.

We are honored to announce that Bridled Mind: Animal Assisted Therapy has been selected as the first recipient of a Rock Canyon therapy dog prospect.

​

Our current fundraising goal is $3,500, which will fully sponsor the puppy. Once that goal has been reached, any additional donations will be used to support the puppy's care and training or will be reserved for future therapy dog placements, as determined by Bridled Mind.

Every contribution helps make another therapy dog team possible. Together, we can expand the reach of animal-assisted therapy and bring comfort, healing, and connection to even more people in our communities, one dog at a time.
